WE MAKE Fashion and Salon Videos

Here at Something Clever we’ve worked with companies in the fashion business – salons, designers and make up artists. Quality of the video is important because it directly reflects the designer’s intentions, the make-up artist’s tedious work and the hair stylist’s craft.

We’d like to look over your previous media as well to maintain a consistent image for your company. Please check out the videos below to see if Something Clever‘s video production is right for you.

The above video features a new product line Green Alley Salon is carrying for their clients. We shot the process and featured one of Green Alley’s hair stylists explaining how the extensions work if their potential clients are interested.

Above is a video we created as a “recap” for Green Alley Salon while preparing for the Austin Fashion Week “Team Mash Up” competition. Working with a bobcat can be intense, especially while trying to get it to cooperate and pose with the model. We wanted to show the “behind the scenes” of capturing the final photo.

This “web episode” was created to push a new dress design by Revelry. We had a basic concept of a woman waiting for her man while the company’s theme was shown through the environment.

For the “Waiting…” web episode, we filmed behind the scenes while Green Alley Salon prepared the girls for their photoshoot in the park. Not only is the designer’s style evident, the audience gets to see the salon’s set up as well.

Michelle, the owner of Revelry Dresses, wanted to create this original “web episode” to show her extensive line up of dresses for sororities and tailgating.

Green Alley Salon stylist, Emily, wanted to apply to L’Oreal’s certified stylist program so we made this video to show her at work describing the process of applying the products. The video was shot in a documentary light to inform the viewer of L’Oreal’s uses.

Wedding Price Chart

So your wedding day’s coming up and you’d like it documented?

We have a variety of packages that are designed to suit your specific desires. At Something Clever, we take this momentous day very seriously. It only happens once!

Please take a moment to look over the various options we’ve drawn out for you.

Step 1: What would you like us to capture?

  • $950 Ceremony, reception, & testimonials*
  • $800 Ceremony & reception
  • $650 Only ceremony

*For testimonials, we walk around the reception asking
guests to say something for the couple.

Step 2: Combine the above option/pricing with the following:
With the footage captured, what would you like us to create?

  • $800 A 40-50 minute wedding video on DVD
  • $650 A 20-30 minute wedding video on DVD
  • $500 A 10-15 minute wedding video on DVD & viewable online
  • $250 A 2 minute preview of the wedding for online viewing

Feel free to combine any of the options from Step 2 and we’ll work with the price.
For example, most couples want a 20-30 minute wedding
video on disc AND a 2 minute online preview.

To see examples of our wedding videos, please visit our wedding portfolio or check out the video below. This particular moment is an example of a 10-15 minute video that was given to the couple on DVD and uploaded to YouTube so they can send it to friends and family. Tara and Tony wanted us to film the ceremony, reception and testimonials.

Green Alley Salon Mash Up Team

Austin Fashion Week is coming up and Green Alley Salon has teamed up with Michelle Thoreson from Revelry Dresses, Sherry Hammonds from S.H. Photography and Rossi Saenz, an Austin model. Alli Wilkinson, Emily Hobbs, and Kelsie Gibson from Green Alley organized the team.

We got together on the West side of Austin to photograph Rossi with a beautiful, domesticated bobcat for an entry in the Austin Fashion Week Photo contest. The bobcat needed time to get used to all the new smells and new faces but it warmed up to us as we warmed up to the idea of a wild cat prowling around the room.

Check out Erin Woolsey and her husband, photographers who reside in Fort Worth but work all over the world. Their company is called EE Photography and they primarily take on weddings as well as other photo opportunities. I met them at a shoot with Revelry Dresses where Erin was taking photos and I was filming the various colorful set ups.

Here is the article Erin wrote on their website regarding the event – complete with her photos.

Revelry Dresses – Episode 4: “Tea Party Tailgate”

The third video of the new Revelry advertisements, and fourth episode that we have done for Michelle. Featuring Michelle Thoreson herself, Annie Elias, Whitney Miller and Ana. It was fun filming with the girls while they showed off Revelry’s line up of sorority and gameday dresses.
