Blues Day Studio – A Recording Studio in Lakeway, Texas

Something Clever Productions is currently in the works of partnering with Blues Day Studio, a musically focused recording studio in Lakeway, right outside of Austin, Texas. We will be filming musicians that record at Blues Day if they’d like a video to promote their music. We’d also be able to film them perform live at venues in the area and create any kind of music video for the musician as well. We look forward to working with Blues Day and encourage any musician that wants to record music on a budget to head out to Blues Day Studio. They primarily work with start-up bands and fresh artists that are looking to forward their music career.

Check them out online.

Here’s a new video I created for Blues Day Studio featuring Eric Sims on lead vocals/saxophone. Blues Day Studio recorded the audio.

Occupy Austin

I stopped by the protests during the Occupy Austin campaign – a branch of the much bigger Occupy Wall Street protests in New York where people have been camping out/occupying the streets for weeks.

The protests are based on corporate greed and corporations, primarily banks, having their hands in politics.

The protests attract a number of people who are willing to temporarily live at City Hall.

Bastrop Fires

Last Saturday, my friend Aric and I weren’t doing much at his ranch in Seguin so we decided to see what was going on in Bastrop, Texas. At this point, the fires had been under control but were still burning in different locations around the Eastern side of town. We saw a lot of people helping out the displaced home owners who had lost their houses in the catastrophic inferno. Although there was an ominous tone to the city, you could tell that a strong bond between the residents existed and the Bastrop families were beginning to rebuild a new community.
