YPN’s Santa at SAMMinistries

This past Saturday, I was lucky enough to go help out at SAMMinistries while they had their “Santa at SAMM” event. It was a chance for families to receive a photo of their children with the legendary Santa Clause. As he landed on top of the SAMM center and stepped off his sled, he told me he felt very privileged to meet all these wonderful kids.

A special thanks goes out to all the people and sponsors that helped out, especially Lorena Pena and Daniel Pruitt for making the event happen. I was excited to capture the occurrence on video and I edited something together a couple days later. Here is the video – I’m glad I got to interview some interesting faces.

Delta Roofa Palooza Round 2

The second annual Delta Roofa Palooza organized by the same paloozers kicked off right this August. The Dynamic Realtime Players were able to roofa three (plus) wakeboard boats and the recognizable pontoon boat joined. DRP 2 was bigger, louder, and is now etched in the attendee’s brain as the funnest day known to man. With the Digital Related Press, next year will be even bigger.

Like last time, two Dramatic Ridiculous Philmmakers captured footage (Jacob Wayne Bondesen and Blake Rabe) and two videos were edited with the same footage: Rabe cut a version and Bondesen cut one. Be sure to check out both:

Blake Rabe’s version

In this above version, Blake used a song that was remixed by a friend – it works as a music video to the track.

Jacob W Bondesen’s version

In this version, Jacob used copyrighted music for all four minutes despite the second song – one of the DRPers was involved in the track while his Hawaiian Haole boy amigos sang over his guitar.

Different Reels Per filmmaker, you can see the contrast in editing style and even the choices of footage were drastically different at times.

Come to next year’s event.

Real Estate barcamp San Antonio 2

What is REbarcampSA?

Visit the official site

We just held REbarcamp San Antonio Round 2 yesterday at the Drury Inn & Suites on 1604 in Northern S.A. Although not as many people showed because of Memorial Weekend, the nearly 40 people that made it continued their education in new technologies and things going on in the real estate world. Again, I gave some input during the video class which was led by Chase Thompson of United Lending.

Our panel of extremely successful REALTORS.

Philip Becker of Becker Properties put everything together, although it couldn’t have happened without the help from Prime Lending as the main sponsor among others. Everyone was able to donate a good amount to charity as well.

Below is the REbarcamp San Antonio 2 event video.

Tara & Tony – A Wedding Preview

Tara & Tony exchanged vows on May 12, 2012 in Kerrville, Texas. They began their new life that day at the Notre Dame Catholic Church on Main Street and joined the family in festivities at the River Star Arts & Event Park.

We made the preview video for this beautiful couple and are currently working on two more – an online version that will be 10-15 minutes long and a DVD “long version” that will be approximately 45 minutes to an hour and will include nearly the entire ceremony. Check out the preview:

We wish Tara and Tony a fabulous life together and look forward to seeing them again.

RE BarCamp Nashville 2012

Just got back from an outstanding week in Nashville, Tennessee where the third real estate “unconference” called RE BarCamp Nashville took place. I road tripped with the Becker Properties team to film the entire event and soak in information about social media, technology and business.

We arrived a few days early to check out some Nashville sights and establishments. While at Margarita Monday in Memphis – during day one of the road trip – we got a fairly big list of things to see in Nashville and we ended up knocking out a majority of the “to-do’s.”

Brian Copeland and his baby Micah.

Thursday’s RE BarCamp, however, was the highlight of the trip. Thanks to Brian Copeland of Nashville, almost 600 people showed up from around the country to learn about new ways to market themselves in the real estate industry.

We were fortunate enough to lead a couple of the classes including the lesson on how to effectively use video in real estate. Not only did we reveal our secrets of how Becker Properties utilizes video, we learned a lot from participants in the class – especially about programs and tools that can be used to bring your videography to new heights. This shared information is the heart of RE BarCamps and we’ll be looking forward to San Antonio’s own “unconference” coming in May.

I just started working on the RE BarCamp Nashville recap video so look for it soon!
